Here are 4 ways to make your workout easier
- Jump out of bed and just go. The longer you think about your workout the less likely you are to actually do it, says researchers at Canada’s University of Alberta.
- Make a playlist of old tunes. Feelings of nostalgia will help you warm up says a study at the UK’s University of Southampton. Have about 10-12 songs on the playlist that lasts for 30 minutes.
- Invest in proper workout clothes. Fabrics that wick sweat away from the skin will leave you warmer than cotton that holds fluid. Also, wear layers that you can remove or add as you need to in a colder weather.
- Have a plan B. If you normally exercise outdoors and it’s raining hard outside, you may want to head to the gym instead. Or you could have a simple workout that you can do at home. There are plenty of fitness apps you can use to help you have a good workout at home.
