Caring for your eyes

Caring for your eyes

We use our eyes to communicate our feelings to people. It’s one of the first things we notice about a person.

Sometimes our eyes may convey messages which is not reflective of how we feel. It may show sadness or tiredness or even exhaustion when we’re actually not feeling that.

The common problems around the eye areas are dark circles, puffiness and wrinkles. Learn how these culprits are formed so that you can start caring for your eyes.

Brighten up dark circles

Skin around the eye area tends to be thinner and more translucent than other parts of the face. The blue circles is caused by oxygenated blood pulled beneath the skin. Its usually more obvious in the mornings when we’ve been lying horizontally in bed. This is because the fluids have pooled in the eye area without much flow while lying down. It can also be worse as we get older as we lose subcutaneous fat in that area. These fats are useful in masking the blueness caused by the pooled blood.

Bayeco green tea correcting eye cream contains two main active ingredients to combat this. In a study performed on 24 volunteers with 2 botanical ingredients Persian silk tree and Siegesbeckia orientalis rich in darutoside, these botanicals showed a significant improvement of dark circles after 7 days. The appearance of fatigue was even better after 28 days improving from 22% up to 44%.

Detox puffiness

Lifestyle has a lot to do with puffiness. Lack of sleep, eating the wrong food types such as too much salt or sickness can all contribute to puffy eyes. Over time, collagen around the eye area diminishes and the tissues around the eye area weakens causing the eyes to appear puffy.

Keeping your body well hydrated is an easy way to get rid of puffy eyes. It will help flush the toxins from the body. Also reducing salt intake will help to stop water retention in the body.

Make sure you get enough sleep. It not only makes you look better, it also helps you to function optimally.

You can massage the eye area to move the fluid around the eye area. Use 1 pump of Bayeco eye cream. With minimal pressure, making sure you’re not pulling the skin, massage around the eye area. The key is to not pull on the skin while moving the fluids.

Diminish wrinkles

Having thinner skin around the eye is going to make this area prone to wrinkles.

Peptides are amino acids which are building blocks to protein. One important protein in the skin is called collagen. Collagen gives your skin the suppleness and thickness to the skin. Wrinkles form as a result of a break down in collagen which can be from ageing or environmental factors.

When peptides are applied to the skin, it sends a signal to the body to produce more collagen thereby reducing the appearance and formation of wrinkles.

Bayeco Green Tea Correcting Eye cream uses two types of peptides to combat wrinkles. We think it’s a vital ingredient needed to erase wrinkles. There are many different types of peptides available. We use peptides that have been shown to be effective in wrinkles before it is added it to our range.
